Education, Experience & Social Media Accounts

Sometimes it's tempting to let that one little thing fall below standard, with the hope that it's trivial enough to slip past the radar.

But, whether it's personal or business, branding requires consistency and alignment across all touch-points. Otherwise, the audience quickly detects the mismatch in your brand message. If they don't believe it, they won't buy it (sometimes literally).

If your restaurant purports to offer a fine dining experience, your washroom is probably as critical as the dinner table. Oh, even before that, online reservation should also be glitch-free, and guests expect to be politely welcomed and safely escorted, perhaps by a well groomed (valet parking) attendant.

In our increasingly virtual world, cyber space branding is no exemption. This is where it gets a bit ticklish.

Is it unethical for a corporate entity to disqualify or to discriminate against a candidate for hire/promotion, based solely on his/her "unfitting" personal social media accounts?
